THE BEAUTY OF DIFFERENCE

THE BEAUTY OF DIFFERENCE
You see that rainbow that crosses the sky sometimes, those colorful stripes in the air
Yea, those, all those have names, but together they are called rainbow.
You see that tall mountain with snow at the top, the one that touches the clouds, it has a name doesn’t it, and the other too, but they are all just still mountains.
Why do we have to be different even though we are the same, why do we have to be named differently and live differently yet still have life as one thing.
Why does it have to be a jeans, denim, cotton or silk, yet they are all clothes, yea, why can’t we be all things in ourselves.
I may not be rich, but you have me, maybe we are silk, we cannot be cotton, but even then when silk knows cotton as cotton, and itself as silk, then in cotton silk has cotton and in silk cotton has silk. We are all one, let us rejoice in the joys of others, and sympathize with them in their sorrows, but never despise our role in the rainbow, without difference and unity, there would be no beauty.
So, and only so can our hearts be beautiful, and so can we be special by being purely and richly contended, only then can our beauty be more valuable than gain, only then can both the rich and the poor be happy and dwell in harmony
So dear, I need only to be me, a better me each day, for both me and you
We don’t have to be them, for in them we already have them, we cannot compare the beauty of red and green, for we both make a big rainbow
Am Luhya, but in you I  am  Luo, In Kariuki Nzuli has a Kikuyu
Even though we are different, we are the same, for I could have been born a Kisii
A Kamba or even Kikuyu, that indeed would have still made me,
So eve though we are different, we are of the same rainbow
So dear, don’t struggle to sideline me, for it is in the least very stupid
For in me you could have the best Luhyia you would ever had

So beautify the red as much as the green, or the yellow as much as the violet
